Beethoven's Conducting

Beethoven was conducting at this point in his life, he was very nearly completely deaf. At the rehearsal for the premier, beethoven's defness made things very difficult for the orchestra. As scpors says, it was tosee that the poor deaf mestro of the piano could no longer hear his own music. Fortunately, this scene did not take place at the public performance, otherwise the audience would certainly have laughed.
