Walter Rodney's Intellectual and Political Thought

Rodney returned to Tanzania in 1969 after some time in London and Cuba. During his second longer stay, he again enjoyed this congenial sense of connection to a socialist society in action. How Europe Underdeveloped Africa is generally held to be his magnum opus. It makes a systematic case for European exploitation as the best explanation for the relative poverty of Africa.
