Sometimes You Have to Kill Your Darlings
Any levity has to come from not so much the things these guys are doing, but the kind of people they are. I try to make it as safe as possible, and my other writers do too. We don't a, we don't put each other down all the time, but never for our ideas. Sometimes the t craziest ideas lead to the best moments. There is definitely, as you say, a line on the show, but in the room, you must surpass the line very day, go way past the right thing to do.
