Are You Taking the Tax Break Today or Should You Be Paying Taxes Down the Road?
A 45-year-old man could have $4.5 million in a retirement account, of course, all hypothetically. Who knows what the health tax rates are going to be in 25 years from now? So I would say you probably want to take advantage of some Roth because you're going to get super compounding tax-free growth forever. But if you truly retire in your 40s, that's probably what I would do.
