One of the main things floated was the idea of having some sort of external HR system so MPs would not have this kind of total control over their offices. One proposal that will be voted on at a later date is excluding Parliamentarians who are accused of serious misconduct. People suggested independent HR, third party reporting to the complaint systems, shutting the bars on the estates and taking away MPs' choice in who they hire and fire.
