The Importance of Forgiveness
In the Course, forgiveness is aimed at releasing the other person. And that's an essential part of how it releases us. Our forgiveness is also aimed at releasing our brother by giving him the message that he never sinned. If we can be the releaseer and heal somebody else, that says something about us. It says we're pure. We've divorced forgiveness from love. That doesn't sound like love at all.
