Musharraf Is a Man of Action
Musharraf is a man of action. Why did he not buckle under all the other liberal demands? The situation at Lal Majid was untenable. It probably was another case of state agents turning rogue. If we had a political government in place a political solution would have been found. To this day videos from the Lal Majid operation are played as propaganda to brainwash suicide bombers into attacking Pakistan. He could have kept his ego aside and not triggered a civil war.
