Dora Brooks' girlfriend was staying in a battered wind, women's shelter less than a mile from the parade route. Immediately before his attack on the parade, he was violently assaulting his girlfriend. And it speaks to how like vicious misogyny is actually under policed in this system. The police are mostly victimizing people within their communities because they're only given attention when they do property crimes against wealthy people.
