The Descent of a Nation

Fisher was holding his last glass of water for the day when he noticed something odd about it. He and Venus gathered with their flatmates to discuss what should be done about their discovery. They agreed they should cause out an expert and have the water tested, but realize that they could not trust any such expert who might turn them in. When they rubbed it between their fingers, the liquid had a certain slipperiness. There was something altogether too finished, too real about it.
