When hard days night came out in 1964, Jiang Kai Shek was already 77 years old and not in the best shape. The headwinds Jiang could see on the radar were considerable. And of course over in Beijing that whole idea of two China's was as popular back then as it was last week. Anyway, for the time being there wasn't anything going on that rose to the level of a Taiwan Strait crisis. But there were still a number of things that happened vessels were sunk and there was that whole thing going on in Burma along the border with Yunnan all mentioned in CHP 292.
