Spence Derby Kimball: The Prophet of the Church
When I was growing up, Spence Derby Kimball was the prophet of the church. The main hammer that he hammered the membership with was with the Lamanites. And when I say Lamanites, for those who aren't Mormon, I mean Native Americans. In the 60s, 70s, 80s, you would have this Lamanite placement program where they would take Lamanite children out of their homes and place them into adoption in white Utah and Arizona or Idaho.
