The Importance of Modernization in the Church
The job of the laity, is to turn the city of London or of New York or LA or whatever city you want to choose, to turn that city into a temple. That I think is the Vatican II vision. When I was growing up, we often use the language of modernizing the church, but that's just not it. We might have made some modernizations in order to facilitate Christification. That's what Vatican II is about. Okay.
