I Like Varley More Than I Like Heinlein

I think Varley is better than Heinlein, which is perhaps a heinous thing to say. I feel like we could get into the pugolistic stuff later on. Steel Beach was the first book that Varley had published after a lengthy hiatus because he had gone to Hollywood to work as a screenwriter. And if you were to name a single novel of Varley's that is the best, it's Steel Beach.
