The Emotional Component of Music Education

i present a whole slew of topics for students to think about that involved emotions. I ask them to think back to, where do these does this self criticism come from? Does it come from my motivation to play? Where i'm dependent on feedback from the outside am i? We've been training our role since early childhood and we're constantly being measured against each other. To break out of that mold, as i mentioned earlier, we actually need a vision of success. It's so important to say, ok, but i don't need all those clouds on my horizon. I want to have a sunny day on stage. And maybe that's actually got transition into the emotional component. Sate
