Fire came to be from the urock people. They've lived on the land that's now northern california long before it had a name. Old women up in the sky had fire, but there were animal spirit beings that didn't. The most powerful one made a plan about how to go get the fire. He called all the animals back together and said he needed everybody's help. All the animal spirit beings agreed to help. And then when they fell asleep, he grabbed up the fire, and he stuck it in the basket,. also the sun, and stuck it in e basket, and took off.
