The Different Types of Literature in the Bible

There are different types of literature in the Bible too, and we read them differently. You need to know going into your Bible that it isn't uniform in its approach to teaching you things. And ancient peoples were totally fine trying to show you something as well as trying to just explain it in effect. They also did this with their buildings when they built temples. In the courtyard of the Assyrian kings, for instance, they used to take trees out of conquered countries and plant them in the king's courtyard so that in his courtyard, it was kind of like a forest of his empire.
