The Importance of Thinking Like a Scientist

I think that it's really easy for us to let our ideas become our identities. Part of thinking like a scientist is to say, you know what, who I am is not about my opinions, it's about my values. That's what we see good scientists do as well. A great example is there's a super forecaster named Jean Pierre Bugam and he knows the longer his prediction sits with him, the more attached he will be to it. And so at the very beginning, he makes a list of the conditions under which he would change his mind.
