You want to start by picking a speed that's appropriate for you. You shouldn't try to understand 100% of what you're reading, or that means you're not pushing yourself. So it's better to push yourself much harder than you think and only understand 80% of whatyou're reading. The same logic applies even when you're just listening to podcasts and audiobooks.
