Is There a Justification for Reparations?

The way in which we use racial categories in this country is so incredibly broad that it's just a really bad proxy. And as you're suggesting, the real underlying driver, most likely, is soci economic condition. Some people on the left think that there should be no extremely high property tax as an inheritance taxes bit to make sure that the next generation doesn't get an advantage from the fact that their parents were affluent. But some of the same people think thatthere should be strong forms of preparations. Two points mutually exclusive.
