If we were to judge political leaders by normal moral standards, we think they're monsters. Is there a correlation between like conventional virtues that are honesty and being good in an effective altruist sense or those are completely unrelated? I don't think Tyler will in any way see this as a negative. On the one hand he does like to impishly say, oh, well, you know, you have to be dishonest to get things done but his own leadership style is ultra honest.
