How to Use Right in Conversation

Right is a listenership device where you're using it to help give them a moment to get up to speed and then making sure that they're getting the inference you're intending. I've heard that one in particular that inferring right to be something that people were marked on quite often as they've noticed more and more in people's speech. If you're inviting someone to make inferences you're asking them to do work so some listeners may feel like that's asking a lot of them to do actual work.
