The DCA Perimeter Rule and the 1500 Hour Rule

The perimeter rule really promotes those nonstop flights to their hometown as opposed to major long haul routes. Congress hopes to get the FAA reauthorization bill done before the end of September, maybe even in the summer. There's a push by some influential members to raise the retirement age for pilots to 67 from 65. The debate that really makes me crazy is seat size and safety.
