Is There Always a Choice?

Sometimes parents accidentally only offer one good choice and the other choice is not something that they're comfortable with. When i give two choices, my mother in law says that i'm making it so that my child won't know how to do things that they just have to do. So you've already offered acceptable choices. You're not just saying arbitrary choices. And so it's totally fine. But again, the times that you can give a choice, go ahead and give two good choices. It's a way to help them feel the agency they need to feel.
