The Foil in Public Enemy
It's a character kind of portrayal back and forth, which is interesting. I never even thought of it this way until you just brought it up right now. The same thing existed in public enemy where Chuck D was always really serious and flavor flavor was the foil. And together it's like I don't know that public enemy would have done what it did without the foil. It made it less finger shaking. People don't like having finger shake that. Even if they like what you're saying, they don't like that.
