CIA's Baptism by Fire

The CIA's account of these events from a document called Baptism by Fire that was published in 2021 reads, North Korean troops supported by tanks, heavy artillery and aircraft crossed the 38th parallel. The US prepared air cover for evacuating Americans and put the seventh fleet between Taiwan, Formosa and the Chinese mainland.
