Coach Development - Is There a Need for Certainty?
Coaches often have to develop their comfort level with being vulnerable and uncomfortable. So a lot of the support that i'd probably give would be during those moments when they think it slightly unsafe. That provides a little bit of scaffolding, alittle bit of certainty for the person in terms of the process. I prefer to work with a coach that's a bit more vulnerable than that. And if they can feel more comfortable in that space, i think they'll be more connected with the player,. They're more connected in the moment, and they can make these decisions that will suit the interaction between the game, the player, the context and themselve. It wouldn't be coach developer centered
