Too much heaven was the Bee Gees' most virtuosic vocal performance and studio recording. It was built from nine layers of three-part harmony, essentially an all-gib choir. Too much heaven not only hit number one on the pop chart that winter, it reached number ten on Billboard's R&B chart.
