Read the bible with a spirit of scepticism or criticism, to read the bible as like someone who's trying to prove it wrong. There are so many things in the bible that we will not understand automatically,. Not just because we're limited, ar not causeou know, god's ways are beyond our ways. But one of the reasons why we don't understand so much of scripture is because this was written at a different time, in a different culture from ours.
