The Importance of Infectious Diseases in Rheumatoid Arthritis
I think that if you're being authentic, you cannot move past an infection. If we do, it would be after thorough exclusion of granulomidus infections. The ones that I think prioritize in terms of their lungs are mycobacteria and a rare infection called miliodosis. TNF blockers are and steroids are potent triggers for PJP. And I would also worry about transient steroids being another clue that PJP might have gotten a little bit better. But I honestly can't add anything. I think focus should be on infection with granumidus pulmonary infections and PJP being our focus.
