Fly Fishing - What's the Crossover Technique?
The crossover technique is a combination of a part dead drift and a part streamer presentation. In the winter time, move it less, strip less. Like you said, drift more. Going back to evenings and sort of winters are good for streamers on a winter trip when you're out there in low light availability. It's nice compared to last year where we had super clear water made for really challenging trout fishing. This year is the exact opposite. Really healthy flows with no sign of algae or anything like that. So that's kind of how we fish them, different techniques and whatnot.
