PayPal played a key role in solidifying more trust in that ecosystem and making it feel safer to interact with. What the company really strived to do was to be a enabler of commerce where transactions were typically hard to manifest themselves. It took a while, I think, to convince people within the broader banking ecosystem that we were a force of good.
