How to Stop a Child From Acting Out

i always start the parents off mechanically. What i say to the parents is, you're going to use your left hand until you choose to stop using your left hand. So what you're waiting for is for the child to notice you and come to you. Because typically behavioris all about the child producing a behavior wich actually creates a need for the parent to join in with that behavior. Until the childtil the parent does something different, that you can't change that behavior.
