There's not enough of an understanding that most people who have personally participated in genocide throughout history have been perfectly pleasant human beings outside of that moment. Probably most of the people who owned slaves were lovely to their wife and children. They were just fine at ignoring the humanity of certain other people. That's what I'm saying. People like things to be clear cut.
