The Difference Between German Political History and American Political History

Meyer refused to pay the fine. Raymond Parford's father put up bail so he didn't have to go to jail and the members of the congregation would have paid the fine for him. So Meyer appealed this case into the Nebraska Supreme Court. And at the same time there had been Lutheran Proteal School teachers in Iowa and Ohio who had likewise defied laws in those states. They were just as courageous as Meyer but Meyer was lucky enough to get his name on the caption of the case.
