What's the Difference Between Positive and Negative Feedback?
It's really helpful to get negative and big picture feedback. Worrying about editing too soon is the equivalent of premature scale in a tech product. You don't want them focused on typos when you're still trying to figure out if they want it, et cetera. It just lets you get more iterations out and get a better product.
