How to Ask for Help
Most tube stations were not set up for access to wheelchairs and prams. So she would find herself stuck at the bottom of a platform looking at huge flight of stairs thinking how on earth am I supposed to get my son to the top of these stairs? She said: 'Would you mind helping me up the stairs with this pram?' And people were always, always very happy to help her - all she had to do was ask.
