How I Become a Mercedes Junior Driver
George Russell signed a contract with Mercedes at the start of 2016. He will officially become a driver for them in 2017. The first conversation goes back to 2015, when he was testing GP3 and his manager managed to get hold of Toto Wolf's email address. 'I didn't really ask for anything I just wanted to introduce myself,' says Russell. "Within 20 minutes of receiving my email," responds F1 boss.
