At the height of the crackdown from 2017 to 2019, there were these obvious visible camps in the middle of Xinjiang's major cities. America called China's actions genocide, and several other countries had declared them crimes against humanity. In 2021, several Western countries sanctioned Chinese officials because of Xinjiang. But now, China is trying to normalize what happened in Xinjiang. It's dismantled the most obvious signs of repression, and it's bringing foreign delegations,. especially from developing countries, to come to Xinjiang.
