The Importance of Immigration in the US
The issue is first, we've only got a finite number of skilled workers. It's not like skilled engineers are unemployed in the US right now. We need an immigration to get that up. Second, if you put all this stuff and you force it to be built here at higher expense, then what you get is less competitiveness for the rest of the country. And third, you're never going to export any of this because what you're doing is bringing stuff home, so to speak, in order to make it uncompetitive.
