Myth of the Month 19: The Holy Grail -- pt. 1
Historiansplaining: A historian tells you why everything you know is wrong
The History of the Gral by Robert De Boron
Sir robert de boron is also mysterious. We don't know much about who he was or where he came from. Presumably he came from the town of boron in eastern france. His patron was gautier de montbelliard, a very powerful noble. He probably got some stories about the passion of christ and about joseph of arimathea from eastern christians in the holy land. And perceval rules over the kingdom for seven years. Then he retires and becomes a hermit. When he dies, the grail vanishes, and it is forever gone from the earth.
