The word real is actually primarily a contrast of term, which gets most of its mileage out of the thing against which it is an alternative. So for instance, like if somebody says race isn't real, they might be saying race isn't a biological category. And I would hardly agree with that race is not a meaningful biological category. They might be denying that people experience racism without these different claims being made about them. But my main point is there are many ways for things to be unreal and any class could have more than one kind of "real"
