The Importance of File System Security

It's going to be on some configuration file on some hard drive on some server. It doesn't matter whether it's the client ID client secret user name password or just client ID and client secret. Or best bet at securing that would be to encrypt those values at rest. I'm kind of okay with secrets on file systems because you know why? When it all boils down all the secrets are stored on file systems. That secret or key is not on some disk. And when you lose it. Now you're really fired. You're totally fired. Because you can't get into any of your systems. Your toast.
