The Risk of Questioning the Value of Pursuing the Truth
Nozak: Most people would not be happy with the experience machine. We would all say, but it's not real, right? And Nietzsche is pointing out, why is that a motivating argument? Why is that something that holds weight? Where does that come from? If we're serious about seeking the truth, we have to question the value of seeking the truth. I honestly feel that it has to be real. I want my light. I do want to pursue the truth, right?
