The Bizarre Nature of Cardiotoxic Steroids

I have a feeling there's going to be a lot more of this in the future. I don't see any less of it. The idea that a plant or, you know, a toad or anything else, a fungus is going to produce something that's just perfectly optimized for human use is really strange. Very few compounds that are found in nature have ever been approved as medicines outright on their own without any modification.
