The Disappointment of Sexual Abuse in Sport

I was really viciously angry by the idea that he was like forced essentially to speak out much much sooner than he perhaps was ready to or should have given his various traumas. One of the things interested me about this was the response from players contrasted so so so starkly with the response to the mendy case obviously two completely different issues, but on the one hand a real dismissal of an issue that could be extremely triggering to men or women that have suffered sexual abuse and never reported it. There's a missing part there, a real lack of understanding and empathy for people who have suffered it and yet then a display of it for one of their own I think was very very stark.
