How to Do a Physical Exam to Get More Data

You really want to do a very detailed physical exam. You're looking for, if you're concerned for injury, you're looking for other injuries. And then you're also looking for any signs of underlying medical issues. So look at the square. Are they blue? Does the child have dysmorphic features like a triangular facies? It's called 10 for facies P. The bruising clinical decision rule highlights some skin findings that shouldn't make you alert that there could be a concern for abuse.
