The EU's Response to Washington's Hawkish Approach to China

I don't get the sense that this represents a major policy shift. Many countries, including key US allies are not entirely on board with Washington's kind of hawkish approach to China. I think Europe is just not quite as far along or just not thinking in the same way as the United States here and sort of this one-dimensional all hawkish all the time approach. And you're going to see those dynamics play out in a lot of more complicated ways.
