The Verb Turning

So today is my birthday. I am turning 26 years old. So when you are changing from one age to another age, 25, 26, we use the verb turning. We do not pluralize adjectives. We say 26 year old person. And of course this applies to any age. If you've asked me a question and I haven't answered it yet, after next week, I will continue doing that.
