The Transfer Policy Is a Fiasco

I would have said that if you look at some of the people we've spent money on recently, because completely there's been a lot of mistakes. There are lots of players who have been bought for lots of money and then they're just running down their contracts. The basic management of a football club that we took for granted for years under Wenger is you don't let players go without trying to recoup your money. And there's been everything back to front. It's not we've been taken for a ride. Now we can see it is apparent that the transfer policy is a fiasco. We weren't good enough and now they can't be sold. They're clogging up the squad
