Is Castilian Spanish a Separate Language?

Castilian Spanish could turn into a separate language from every other kind of Spanish. Even though Spanish regularly reforms their writing system, it's still got some historical oddnesses. There's no reason why they have to have the silent use or both C and Z. Modern Greek is just as bad as English.
